Dear Alex,
Thank you. I'll post the materials online.
But may I ask you to release the whole contents of these e-mails between you and me, please?
I don't have plan to personally make books, videos, images.
But the people who will see the post may want to do that.
So it'll be better to notice them properly by disclosing all these e-mails.
Thank you for your consideration.
Kind Regards,
Min Seob Lee

제목: Re: Thank you very much. But I need to ask you one more things to be sure.Yes. When someone posts something to idebate.org, debatewise or partner sites they are in essence agreeing that their comments are covered by a creative commons license.AlexOn Thu, Jul 17, 2014 at 6:00 PM, ace나그네 <firest12@hanmail.net> wrote:
Dear Alexander Helling,
Thank you very much for your permission.
It means that, even if I don't get permission one by one, can I still upload these materials to online?
Sorry to bother you and Thank you very much for your kind consideration.

제목: Re: May I get the permission to release this texts on non-profitonline sites, please?Dear Min,You are welcome to do so. As a general rule IDEA websites including idebate.org and debatewise are creative commons licensed. You only need to provide attribution; who the judge is and where the opinion is from, preferably with a link back. So long as it is clear whose opinion it is and what site it came from then we are perfectly happy with our materials being used outside of idebate.org and our other sites. The main exceptions to this would be some of the books, and a few images and videos that have been licensed from others.Kind regards,AlexOn Thu, Jul 17, 2014 at 5:46 PM, ace나그네 <firest12@hanmail.net> wrote:
Dear Alex,
Hello, I am Min Seob Lee who is a university student debater in South Korea.
I send you this e-mail because I want to get your permission and adjudicators'permission to release the 2009~2011 WODC adj Feedbacks on online.
Basically, there are many debate videos and texts in this world so debaters can easily resemble and learn from these things.
But there are no such thingsofadjudicators video or textsso adjudicators are quite hard to learn easily especially for non-English country like South Korea.
So could you allow me to upload these adjudication feedbacks of WODC 2009~2011 to below sites and allowed anyone use for non-commercial purposes?
1. https://www.facebook.com/groups/295556537170672/
2. http://www.toronsil.com/technote7/board.php?board=englishdebate
http://www.toronsil.com/technote7/board.php?board=englishdebate&command=body&no=346
I have been translating to these feedbacks to Korean from 2012 to try for spreading debate culture to non-English user to my home country, South Korea.
But the problem is, without copyright permission, I cannot release to these materials openly.
So I need to get permission for these things.
1st, Anyone on this Earth who want to use non-commercial purposes freely use these feedbacks for educational and research purpose like the examples of http://debating.org.au/, https://www.debatingsa.com.au/, and university debating tournaments.
2nd, Anyone on this Earth who want to use commercial purposes like http://www.englishdebatingchampionship.com/index.phpshould get prior permission from valid copyright holders like organizers and adjudicators in WODC 2009, 2010, 2011.
But the problem of the 2nd is that, there are too many judges to get permission. And more importantly, I don't know any contacts of quite many of them.
I already got permission from Andy Hume. And I can ask Logan and Loke Wing Fatt myself. But It is hard to get contacts of others. And moreover, even if I know all of their contacts, it is not easy to ask all of them.
So, could you provide me their e-mail address or facebook account ro something like that to deal with this issue, please? Not only for me, but also for the people who want to use the materials. They also need to know the contacts of them if they want to get permission.
If I got permission, I'll upload 3 Hwp files to the https://www.facebook.com/groups/295556537170672/, http://www.toronsil.com/technote7/board.php?board=englishdebate. But I guess you cannot read Hwp files, so I copied the full contents of these files to 3 docx files for helping you to understand more easily.
Thank you very much for reading this long e-mail and I'll wait your reply.
P.S. For reducing possibilities of future copyright conflicts, is it ok to open this e-mail and your reply e-mail to the public,https://www.facebook.com/groups/295556537170672/and http://www.toronsil.com/technote7/board.php?board=englishdebate, please?
